What are hidden files

Hidden files are special type of file, that usually not visible if you go to file explore. To view those files, there are several ways you can do it on Windows.

Find the File Explorer on Windows

1. You can find the File Explorer easily from start menu:

3. From search bar by direct search (Windows 10 and above):

4. (Advanced users only) Open File Explorer directly from Windows command line (cmd):

By using command: explorer

Option 1 — On modern Windows versions, > Windows 8

After opened the File Explorer, you can easily enable the hidden items directly on top menu.

Option 2 — Enable hidden files from options menu

First, will need to open the options menu from File Explorer:

Second, go to the second tab, and go to the “View” tab, under “Hidden files and folders”, click “Show hidden files, folders and drives”:

After you enabled the hidden files, the hidden file will display like following:
